Goggins ChallengePrivacy
Updated 7 November 2026. Goggins Challenge is developed by TeKoTeK.
This website
The website counts visits anonymously: country (looked up from the connection and then discarded with the address), device type, system, browser family, connection type, where you came from, campaign tag, language and your browser's time zone. No cookie is set, no IP address, device identifier or raw user agent is stored, and the Do Not Track signal is honoured. If you join the waitlist or send feedback, we store what you type, your email if you give one, and your country and device type, to reply and to understand who uses the app. Country lookup uses the free DB-IP country database (IP Geolocation by DB-IP, CC BY 4.0).
Feedback prompts and announcements
About once a week the app may ask for a one-tap rating, and once a month for a slightly longer check-in (what to improve, how accurate the camera counting felt, an optional comment). It is optional, can be postponed or turned off ("Stop asking"), and is sent with your app version, platform and chosen counting engine, without your name or account. Announcements and update notices come from signed content and are shown on Home.
Guest training
Sessions, goals, custom plans and settings are stored on your device. Core training works without signing in. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes local records.
Optional accounts and backup
When enabled, Apple, Google or email sign-in uses Firebase Authentication. The provider handles your sign-in credentials. The app does not send your password to TeKoTeK servers. Cloud backup is optional and manual: a confirmed upload stores your sessions, goals, plans and profile in your private Firebase account space. Signing in alone does not upload your training. A confirmed restore replaces local data.
Optional product and audience insights
Onboarding can be skipped. Your training goal, experience, preferred disciplines and weekly target are saved locally. In Profile → Data choices, two independent choices are off by default. Product insights shares app version, platform, language, broad training goals (never personal breakup or weight answers), selected disciplines and experience, app openings, session start/completion/discard, program use, waitlist interest, plan-selection preferences (not payments) and categorised camera availability errors. Audience insights shares only your optional discovery source and chosen region, with platform and language. Audience consent does not enable usage-event collection. Neither choice enables cross-app advertising tracking or marketing emails.
Reports use a random installation credential, separate from Firebase accounts. The service stores only a hash of that credential. It does not associate insights with your name, email, account ID, training scores, precise location, video or pose coordinates. Region is voluntary; it is not inferred from your IP address or GPS. Developer and audience reports are available only to authorised TeKoTeK administrators.
Usage reports keep a rolling 90-day history, limited to 100 events per installation per UTC day. An offline queue holds at most 100 events for up to seven days. Inactive installation records expire after 90 days; automatic expiration processing may take additional time. Active installations refresh that expiration. Disabling either choice removes the previous shared installation record before a fresh record is sent under the remaining choice. Stop sharing & remove shared data disables both and removes shared data; offline removal is retried on return to the app. A minimal non-reporting deletion marker is retained for 90 days to reject delayed uploads. Your sessions are not deleted by this control.
Invite friends (mobile apps)
When you use Invite friends, the server creates a referral code for your account and keeps your account ID, your count of referred friends and your free weeks. When someone enters a code, the server checks that their account is new and that their phone has not used a code before. For that it keeps a one-way hash of the phone's vendor identifier (iOS identifierForVendor or Android ID), salted so that it cannot be reversed or used to track you in other apps. This is only to prevent abuse. Deleting your account removes your code and referral record; the hash stays so that a deleted account cannot be used to claim again on the same phone. Referrals are not available on the web.
Camera
Experimental pose assistance processes camera frames on your device. The app does not record, save or upload those frames. Permission is requested only when you open this optional feature. Counting accuracy has not been validated for every device or movement.
Updates and advertisements
The app may download signed training content and settings over HTTPS. Advertising is disabled in the initial configuration. If enabled later, house ads may load from TeKoTeK and third-party AdMob uses its own privacy and consent flows. Ads are excluded from active sessions. Your controls
Profile provides local reset with confirmation. Account provides sign-out, backup management and account deletion. Account deletion removes the sign-in account and cloud backup; local training remains until you reset it separately. Backup/restore requires a verified account. Network providers receive standard connection metadata such as IP addresses when online features are used.
